Dear AR-Members!

I found this on an,otherwise really good, website: http://egun.de/market/item.php...40de150d338c2ad1f9cd
I can imagine what do you think about it.
Just as me. Killing a "house"deer in a 10 hectars "jungle"... Anyone can be proud of such a trophy like this! Or...
Sorry about my poor english!

Regards:

Andy

The first time I hunted Boar, I was in a tree stand shooting over a baited field.
I was very pleased with the Boar I shot and the experience.
I still have the tusks.

Then I went stalking a boar on foot, creeping upwind, using cover and stealth. I was really pleased when I shot it, even though it was smaller.

Suddenly the first Boar didn't seem so difficult or worthy. I guess I discovered that the trophy isn't everything and maybe my standards move with my achievements and challenges.

Reminds me of a 26 pointer that a mate shot in NZ.

It looked more like a hat rack than a Deer antler.

Everyone's opportunity is different and not all have the chance to hunt in a way that you use stalk, hunt, use cover, wind etc.

It's an interesting thing to discuss but as the
2nd poster mentioned, it certainly is more enjoyable !

Thats definitely not hunting. Unfortunately there seems to be enough demand for any type of canned game, not only in Germany. At least this eGun offer does not hide what he whole thing is about - a hunting brothel.

Hunting is more and more prestige, business and numbers. Unfortunately hunting organisations in the world are pushing our sport to "fenced" direction.
For us, guides and outfitters this is a job to please our guests. All we can do is to do the best job we can without cheating. Even in a fenced area the hunt can still be enjoyable, hard and fair chase but for guys who are after some hunting awards time is money, trophy size prestige and hunting award important achievement.
Some of those hunts are actually collections of the trophies in small fenced areas and accepted by SCI.

Who knows? Maybe one day when I'm old the fence will be the only way to do some hunting or at least pretending.

Hunting is a lifestyle more than anything else. http://www.artemis-hunting.com/
