I'm heading to Pampolina in july of '07. I'm looking for a boar hunt or other hunting oppertunities in the Navarra region or near by. I know that I may be limited to boar & maybe roe deer?

Can anyone direct me to a guide or outffitter that hunts that region.

Thank you.

It's my first post in AR, but since I live in Madrid, I can give you some advice. You should try with this outfitter, I consider them my friends more than professionals, but I can tell you they are good at it. Ask for Loïc Sintes, he'll have no problem in attending you in English, and loves the sport as much as anyone could.

It may be a little late to book roe hunting since it started in early May, but perhaps you'r lucky.

Kongoni,

I do arrange and conduct myself hunts in Spain (thank you for you recommendation, Fallow Buck) but I do not hunt in that area, and I do not have any openings for this season either.

I have known Loics Sintes for many years and agree with Joaquin's recommendation to contact him.

The dates are not he best, neither for roe nor for wild boar.

Roe bucks are normally very quiet at that time of the year. They are sttled in their territories, and see no need to leave the forests to feed. The end of the month is a different story since rut will start and it makes for a very enjoyable experience.

Fields have not been harvested in this part of the country and wild boar cannot be baited easily, so it is not the best time for them either.

I would not como just to hunt but if you are here, definetely give it a try!

regards,

Montero

If someday it happens I can fly to U.S.A. with the intention of looking for some nice hunting don't hesitate I will ask for advice in this forum. Thanks a lot for your kind offer.

Anyway, if it turns out impossible to arrange that boar-roe deer hunting with Loic, I still know some other outfitters that could possibly do it, so never mind asking again.

I bet you will have the opportunity to drink more than just one cup of great wine during your stay here!

¡Suerte con los guarros!

Best regards,

J.
