Hi All,

Just a quick one to let you know of this fab stag we got on the last day of the season this year. a fully wild 14pt scottish hill stag is a trophy of a lifetime so well done to Gary and the guys involved.

The stag was one of two 14pts that we saw this year, (along with a very elusive 16 pointer that is just to clever for me!!)

Lots of AR members have hunted the ground in question so they will know the pain involved in getting a big stag on the Garroch!!

Beautiful. Makes me want to go back to the highlands again. I haven't been there for about five years.

I will be hunting Garroch for a week with my dad in Sept/Oct next year. Booked with Fallow Buck of course.

What a stag, I can't wait.

With kind regards
Mike

Here is the other 14pt stag that we almost got this year.

It is a hunt that you can blank on or go home with a real stag of a lifetime.

When you go on this hunt it's your legs that you need to be worried about not your arm!!

We charge a flat rate of £500 per day for the hunting and there are no trophy fees. We just shoot what is available to us.

The cottage is about £80 a day per person.

In my opinion it's worth every penny even if you don't see/shoot a big stag. Saying that I'm not after a monster but if one steps out I will be pulling the trigger.

I just want to hunt hard and see what we can see. If I head home with a couple of nice heads that would be a bonus.

With kind regards
Mike

Is it difficult to import a rifle, or do you have to rent or borrow one?

Buff hunter

It’s easier to rent one but with the right paperwork it is also easy to bring your own.

I would obviously need to check your proposed rout and carriers to be sure as some connections are complete no go’s.

In terms of the rental rifles most of our guns are custom builds with zeiss/swarm glass on them so your net dealing with a rusty camp gun that has a 12lb trigger pull...

It's the same ground mate. In fact I think this was shot in about the same place you shot yours on the last night too.

Unfortunately I can’t attend this year Larry. I’m working for our Uncle until late Spring. I’m seeing some interesting places on this trip. It ruined a planned duck hunt with Clark and a potential fishing trip with Clark and Kiri.
