In Spain everything has open sights. In America like you said it's the other way arround. I think that's the number one reason Remington starting offering the Classic Deluxe Rifle CDL. Americans want a classic stock and no sights. I am the other way arround. I like monte carlo stocks and sights. I am thinking about having a stainless Remington M700 rifle built in a 9.3x64 for elk and bears.

Quote: 6 months is not unusual when you order a Blaser barrel in an "oddball" caliber - i.e. a caliber which is not common, and therefore one for which Blaser does not do frequent production runs. 6 months is probably a bit on the high side, I have typically waited about 4 months for mine, but your order includes 2 different calibers, neither of which probably belongs to the "most popular" cartridge group. Anyway, none of all this to make an "excuse" for Blaser, just to let you know that you you are not alone in this experience. Good luck with the new barrels - when they eventually show up. Btw, did you order these with open sights?? Where I live, open sights are the norm, and unless you specify otherwise that is how the barrels show up. In the US it is the other way around. Don't know what the Spanish market gets?? - mike
