Well, I picked the "new" rifle up last week. I went for a 25 inch barrel in the end. I am pleased to report it shoots factory Norma ammo 156 grain ORYX into a .75 inch group. MV 2880 fps. Any suggestions for a bullet suitable for Alpine Chamois and mouflon???

Deerdogs Congratulations ![]() Who did the re-barreling and what make of barrel did you choose? I think any 140 grain bullet of sound construction will work fine ![]() Cheers / JOHAN

How long is your freebore, and what is your twist rate?? European cartridge chambers are often cut with very long freebores, if that is the case you'll stand a better chance of getting close to the rifling with a bullet like the 160 grs NP - the do it all bullet for European game. Mouflon can be surprisingly hard to put down, so you won't be overgunned with a 160 grs. Other than that, as Johan suggested a 140-150 grs bullet of sound construction. A Nosler Accubond or a Hornady Interbond, if you can get them, maybe? - mike
