Can a person buy a suppressor over the counter in France?

Never saw that, never even saw a suppressor in France. Lived 40 miles from France for 3 years ending in March a few months ago. Went all the time, but I never hunted in France so I am not 100 percent sure. Hunted in Germany, Germans are starting to embrace the technology. Next time we live in Europe in 5 to 6 years, I think the Germans will be totally immersed.

Good information. Bavaria was first in Germany, and I Germans are still kind of weird about it. In Britain and Scandanavia it is damn near mandatory.

. Ross, Answer is no (most Euro countries). Surpressor counts as part of weapon and must be licensed. In Germany it is actually added to your gun license (WBK) and needs pre authorization from the police before purchasing. Belgium, France and Spain also needs licensing. .
