wildboarEvil slovenian hunter killed a poor italian bear!
I've just seen it on the italian TV news. Here, wolves and bears are, unfortunately, considered like sacred icons and their hunt is strictly prohibited; a common quip is that it's better to be caught with 1 Kg. of drug in the trunk, than with a dead wolf/bear. The dreadful crime

has been committed on the italian-slovenian border; maybe Mouse93 can give us some more info. It seems that the poor bear had a GPS collar.

DUKWhy didn't he shoot the GPS collar or fix it at least to a truck going long distance?

wildboarUnfortunately in Italy, apart from several other problems, we currently have a real left-wing/communist governement, further poisoned by a couple of Greens ministers, one of these is the obnoxious Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio. He will supposedly ask to the slovenians authorities to move the bear hunting area ahead from the italian border

.

mouse93Game and politics - never worked out - however we have a realy healthy bear population here (imo it is increasing) with tensions of moving toward west-northwest (Italy, Austria) so bears are on their way

- you will soon get some of them by natural migrations

P.S. Same with wolves.

wildboarI'm happy to hear that. Unfortunately, our media, strictly linked to Greens/WWF, affirm the opposite; they always cry and scream about the risk of extinction.
