I'm sure you know this but others may not.

That's pretty purrrfect (LOL) shot placement to drop a charging big cat because it comes at you with head & neck outstretched & low.

Is that a muskrat? Are they edible?

Ducks look nice, it has certainly been duck hunting weather of late...

I managed a fallow yearling this morning which is now resting in the fridge.

It is a coypu (nutria) - much bigger (up to 9kg) than muskrat (up to 2 kg). And yes they are edible - see here:

We used to have muskrat here, but since some nutria escaped from farms a couple of years ago muskrat was driven out by them.
