Looking for some drawings and photos of high seats.

I bought a book from Paul Pery but it's very small and kind of a pain in the rear.

When I was hunting in Germany the outfitter had a book, but I don't know what it was called.

It was something like a 8.5x11 inch book?

Any thoughts?

I scanned a couple of articles with blue prints. PM me a mail address and I'll be happy to forward them to you. They are in German but the designs and pictures are quite self explaining.

I know IanF has courses for high seat building and the seats are very good indeed ranging from free standing wooden seats like we used on the stag hunt, through to fully enclosed continental types.

I believe he used to offer the manuals for sale too and also arrange the kits for those in the UK.

Personally I think High seat building is a great excuse for getting a nail gun!! Smiler

Rgds,
K

I found a nice property; 200 acres, borders National Forest on 2 sides and a big 65,000 acre ranch on the other 2.

If it's still for sell when I get back to the states I am going to put high seats facing into all the National Forest blocks, and a couple of high seats so I can see what crosses into my land from the big ranch.

Hopefully the big ranch neighbor will let me kill an elk or two on the border of our properties in exchange for me trapping coyotes merciilessly on this property.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.
