I live 30 miles from the French border in Kaiserslautern. If you have a shop you need visited and it is within an hour I'll take a look for you. I was told you can buy reloading stuff in Austria over the counter, what are you after?

Reloading components are extensively available in France. Almost all presses can be bought: Dillon, Lee, Hornady, etc. As well as dies and all the other gadgets. French powders are available (which aren't bad at all), as well as VihtaVuori, for any caliber as well as all primers. When it comes to unprimed cartridge cases however you are in the same domain as loaded cartridges, in other words the authorization to buy cases or loaded ammunition is limited to your firearm authorizations, which are limited by caliber and type of firearm. I do not know if any components can legally be sold to a non-resident. I do know that for handgun calibers you need to show your authorizations to the dealer with your proper ID. You are limited to 1,000 cases or cartridges per year, meaning that reloading is a way of life for anybody who shoots frequently. For sporting rifles it is not as restricted. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
