Here I go showing my complete ignorance. Are there gunshops in Italy where I can go buy a gun and export it to the United States? Namibiahunter .

Since the price of guns in Italy is usually at least the double than in the USA, (not to mention taxes and hassle) I would suggest you to carefully think over.

However if you find something of really interesting I think that there is no problem in exporting your gun. It is a practice that can be managed by the gun shop I think. Probably it would be shipped to you by them rather than permit to you to travell all arountd Italy with yu bye Stefano Waidmannsheil

May I suggest you visit Piovanelli armory near Lonato. Managed by 02 brothers Andrea and Marco and they both speak fluent English. They will export your pruchase without hiccups. From Gardone its another 45 kms east toward Lake Garda. Again you will need more than you half day to acheive your goal... Sorry

I imported a shotgun from Italy 6 years ago. At that time I needed an entity in Italy to export and a FFL holder in US that held an import license. It is not a cheap process and would not do so again unless the gun I found was somehow unique and not available in the US or you were able to purchase it for at least 1000.00 dollars less than you would pay in US. Just my 2 cents.
