I´m going to Croatia end of april and looking for some good hunting, 2-3 days. I´m interested in Bears, Wild boars or deers (Fallow,Red).

Unfortunately its no full moon.

Can you recommend me what to hunt and recomend me a good company to deal with. I want a professional/serios hunter but I don´t want to pay an overprice for the hunt.

I have found www.hunting-diana.com and www.safariinternational.com on the net, are they good/bad to hunt with.

Eric - bad timing - the only game available on the end of April are brown bear and boar. But in that time of year there are no driven hunts - so you depend on night hunting from tree stands, or stalking on boars since boars and bears are rather nocturnal, considering no moon at that time your chances are slim...option is roe deer (buck only) hunting, it starts on May the 1 st. and is quite good at the beginning of the season...

Not that I am the smartest guy in the world, but I had never heard of Safari International.

If anyone has any information on them, I would like to see it too.

They have really resonable rates for Spanish Ibex.

I have a hunting agent friend here in Spain hwo have told me about an island in Croatia with very good mufflons. If you want his contact, I will send you his web site address.

Safari Internatinal (S. Dimitrjevic)is not the best choice to book a hunting trip. He is very exaggerated in his supplies, and often the hunting succes is not the awaited one. Spanish ibex is spensive trophie even for the spanish hunters, so be afraid of cheap prices.

I'm with Ajotnik on S.I argument. I met (S. Dimitrjevic) and I did not like him, I also read some of his articles on Italian hunting magazines and again I did not like him.
Sensations .... I never had anithig to do with them in the past, but I don't want to have to do with them in the future....

This may sound a bit extreme, however a few years back a party of Austrian hunters hit a mine while driving through their designated hunting area in Croatia. At least one (possibly more?) was killed.

It is possible this situation has improved in the meantime. Thankfully, the war in Croatia has been over for quite a few years by now. However, it is a matter of concern, if you happen to hunt in areas where fighting took place.

I do not have info related to this problem in the last years, and a lot of people between the hunters that I know and that go there.
