I was just wondering what the consensus was on this 'qualification' is it something that is worthwhile doing, considering i am just a hobby stalker. I keep hearing conflicting opinions?
If you have done it who would you recommend speaking to, to organise the assessed stalks.
Thanks for your help.

Hi SWS,
I think really the question each and every person has to ask themselves about the DMQ (and they have to be honest) is are you are,and do you feel experienced and confident enough..if not then it could be a great thing for some people.
I have no DMQ and have no intention of sitting one...but then I am not likely to be going on any paid stalking so thats obviously different, however I hope never to be forced to by legislation,I feel it comes down to who taught you in the first place.

just my opinion

SWS,

I agree with 222 on this one. My views on the current fad for forcing FAC applicants to take the DMQ/DSC exams have been stated in other threads, so I'll leave my soap box where it is for now.

If however you are not lucky enough to be "fostered" in the early years by an experienced stalker, then you may benefit. The number I sent you for the goats, also does level 2 appraisals.

Anyway I'm off for a meeting with my firearms officer
