Does anyone now where I can buy some ballistics software here in the UK? I'm particularly looking for Quickload as I need the latest version for it to work on my Vista Laptop.

Apart from quickload is there an alternative?

Basically The action has arrived for my 260Rem project, so I'm looking at trying to work out some details for the gunsmith, predominantly the velocity I can get out of an 18"-19" barrel with various bullets.

Rgds,

Neco sells QuickLoad on-line: http://www.neconos.com/ - I have never ordered from this website, so I don't know how well the shopping part of the site is constructed?? Sometimes US websites are geared towards selling in the US (e.g. only US addresses are accepted). Try it and see.

Btw, the Neco website has a comment about QuickLoad and Vista. Seems to be some sort of incompatibility.

Johannsen in Germany also sells QuickLOad - although I don't know if they sell English versions?? http://www.johannsen-jagd.de/reloadingwithjohannsen.html.

Griff, Don't confuse Pete with talk of two knobs... He'll think it's one of those strange welsh ceremonies...

You could always ask the inventor and developer of QuickLoad to sell you the software. He is in Germany and can be reached at hartmut_broemel@web.de

Yesterday I ended up ordering a copy of the latest version and it's just arrived.

Griff,

Just biding my time Wink

When I first read your post, I was tempted to make some "knob jokes", but I have more class than to go for the cheap and easy laugh! Wink
