On African hunting forum, I answered to Aaron Rust that one of my beloved calibers is the 6.5x55SE. I don't remember where I found this definition and the exact meaning of SE, that Aaron asked to me. Can anyone help me? Does it mean only SwEdish? or if it is a acronym/initial/
abbreviation what does it mean?
Thank you very much in advance

bye

It's not a swedish mauser, It is a round made by a swedish/norwegian comite. Norway used it in Krags and sweden in Mausers. It has noting to do with mauser.

If I am not wrong, the Mauser Werke were also involved in the construction of the case.
