Anyone have any experience with this website. I have been trying to use it but my German sucks and the translation websites do a poor job on it.

Looking for a Germanic stock for a R93, R93 barrels, Blaser mounts, Rail mount scopes from S&B, Swaro, Docter, and Zeiss what do you guys think?

I have never bought anything myself from egun.de, but I peruse the site quite frequently. Often there is a decent selection, mostly of stuff popular here in Europe (like combination guns), naturally. I don't know where you are located D99 (USA?), but sometimes, the people on the site are not that keen to ship outside of Germany, or even the EU. For guns, this probably has to do with export regulations etc. The auctions tend to last forever! I guess it would be fine to ship rail mounts around.

You should talk to our very own "Gerry" about R93 wood, I gathered this weekend, he might have a contact to a guy who does custom R93 stocks - quite common in Central Europe.

I saw a .45 Blaser barrel for sale on the site and if I didn the conversion right the price was about the same a barrel here in the US and maybe a few dollars more.

I have been looking at the site for a while. The 45 Blaser peaked my interest as well, though the price may be more less in Spain.

Cool

E-Gun is an O.K. source for trying to find bits & pieces. It was an even better source years ago before the Gun Trade found it. Initially it was used as intended by folks who wanted to do some buying, selling & trading. Now the Mom&Pop Accessory Stores & the Gun Trade guys have started plastering E-Gun with their wares - occaisionally takes forever to wade through due to page after page of cheap junk & accessories.

I've sold & bought some items on E-Gun but as of yet no "controlled" items. My experience as a buyer has been there is almost always a "silent" partner in the background jacking the price up.

If your German isn't up to snuff, you'll have difficulty and also find little patience for attempting to negotiate or bid on something you don't quite understand. Also, 99% of the sellers state already in their particulars that they will NOT ship outside Germany. Also there is virtually no legal way for a "foreigner" (read: unauthorized) bidder to attempt to purchase a controlled item; i.e., complete long gun, handgun, action or barrel. Under German law the seller of a controlled item must state the item(s) is/are only for sale to authorized persons. If you bid on something and are unauthorized to purchase it you WILL have a bad hair day.

Cheers,

Gerry
