Hi, slighlty OT perhaps but was recommended to try to post here... What is the best way to make a good cartridge for a silenced .308Win rifle, i.e. to get as good a punch as possible with as little noise as possible. I guess sub-sonic is required(?) and then just to get as heavy a bullet you can get for that cartridge and load it at about 300m/s?

I have a box of factory sako .308 subsonic - (138a on the box) these are a 185 grain bullet fmj. They group quite well enough at 100m albeit about 15 inches low.-they're quiet with a T8.

Does anyone know of any subsonic .338 lapua magnum availabe in europe or any load data for such a cartridge. "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." (Attributed to George Orwell).
