Wow, that is a LOT of piggies, and some pretty thick stuff you shoot them in!
Don't you just
love a lot of snow for driven hunting!!

DB BillIt looked like some of the footage was shot on an island? Lots of shooting and some of it was pretty quick.
Were these areas totally open or were they large enclosures?
Do you operate shoots like this? If so, how about some details on what might be needed to participate as well as the cost?

Unforgetable HuntingMete,
in Romania we generally used shotguns and rifles caliber 30.06.
db Bill, my cousin,
These areas are completely open and animals are wild. I do operate shoots like this, of course. In FACT, first edition of International Wild Boar Contest will be held exactly in that area. I come with more details and regulation in about a week.
Very nice, thanks for posting. Even thouigh it's about 25 C right now outside, I half wish it was winter...
Dina,
in the video I hear italian's voices ... Great battues.

tom ga hunterThanks for the post..
I hunt in the southeast of the USA for hogs & deer, our land looks much like the 4th vidio.
1. How do you not shoot other hunters?
2. How many shots are fired per hog killed?

Unforgetable HuntingYes Mario some hunters are italians,
great battues indeed, but very, very weak shooters and disappointing organization.
@ tom
1. we have a strict regulation in driven hunts. All hunters are on the same line. The most important rule is that you DO NOT FIRE if the angle between hunters line and your aiming line is less than 45 degrees.
2. It depends on each hunter. If I shoot 3 fire I kill 2 hogs, for the most part, but I attend to 20 driven hunts per year.
Usually for killing 20 boars, foreign hunters shoot around 100 cartridges.
yes very interesting but also quite dangerous if the hunters are close in a flat terrain. Mostly depend of the experience, someone when see some boar begin to shake and shoot everywere.
How they you charge for a hunt?

I do not understand your question. I am an outfitter here in Romania...If you want to know how much I charge you for this type of hunt look here....
http://forums.accuratereloadin...2100588/m/6621064531yes you have reason. I mean HOW MUCH?. The price is quite even if quite complicate to pay for each animal shot, with sliding scale. Normally, as I told you, we prefer to make a trip all included.

Unforgetable HuntingMario, 99% of my hunts are in unfenced areas, so it is very difficult for me to make an all inclusive package for you. You can shoot three wild boar or you can shoot 10 wild boar during 3 days of hunting. Anyway, I will send you a PM today.
Thanks for your interes!

onefunzr2I have never seen driven boar hunts in the snow before. Fantastic!
I can see where a repeating rifle is a necessity.
