I was delighted to find that Father Christmas had got his priorities right in ensuring my 4 year old daughter gets to grips with her shooting skills as soon as is practicable.

This Chinese rig is easily minute of coke can at 10 yards so very happy with the performance and at £40 it is excellent value.

It should also provide some entertainment for me at her play school when she is asked what Father Christmas brought her.

Really nice to see you're bringing her up properly. Education, respect and marksmanship from an early age carry into adulthood. I was much the same age when l was given a "Daisy Diana" air rifle by an uncle. It caused bedlam at home but l kicked such a fuss that they let me keep it, in fact l've still got it (old habits die hard)

As you know, reactive targets are the most fun to shoot (even at our age) so break out the balloons, old fruit etc...

Dave that is quite a coincidence as I was given my brothers hand me down when I was 4 which was a Daisy Diana. I actually tried to get one this time round but it seems the only thing which was suitable was the SMK jobs which are coming in from China.

lf it wasn't for a silly family fude l'd have done it up and given it to my nephew, just to put the fiz in his mother's arse like my uncle did to mine.

Yes I have tried the balloons at 600 and they are great fun.

Onefunzr2 my daughter did request a "pink" gun initially I think it went something like - "can I have a gun that's pink daddy" and I thought it might be a trip to James at Duracoat but she seems ok with the wood and blue which is alot less hassle.

there is a down side to this! As you get older you will get less invites and as your daughter progresses through her shooting apprenticeship she will UNDOUBTEDLY get more invites than yourself..

Yes Griff I know what you mean. It has always been down hill since my mid twenties if you know what I mean.

I have one of those Chinese rigs, but it lost its accuracy as the barrel steel was softer than the lead pellets.
