Has anyone used the 375 hh federal premium 260 grain Accubond for european red stag?

Mike. Cant help with that bullet - think the .375 load I used was a failsafe. Strangely, just like a kudu weighing twice as much....... the stag went down like it had been hit with a sledgehammer. As you are no doubt aware - for Red Deer, a 270 or 30cal +150gn sp is more than adequate. The .375hh will do a fine job (doesnt it always?) but is really only needed if you enjoy playing with it! Have a good one. Ian Just taking my rifle for a walk!........

I can see how that might work. It would be like getting hit by a 270 and a 30/06 at the same time. I think it would get the job done. What chance of retreiving the bullet? Regards Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

AM, I've dispatched five pieces of game with the Nosler .375 260 grain AccuBonds in my own reloads, two Red Deer Hinds, a Fallow Stag (a Pricket), a 50 Kg Wild Boar and a Roe Deer Buck. All were shot broadside and died like being struck by Thor's Hammer. I have not recovered a bullet for evaluation. I did see one recovered from a Zebra using the Federal load in RSA and it was typical of the advertising credited it. Net, so far with my small sample of experience IMHO what it is claimed to be, a pretty good large(r) game bullet. Cheers, Number 10
