None of the news links worked except the last one, but here is a letter I sent to their news editor:

Your story on seal hunting is a piece of garbage (or rubbish as they say in the UK). Sick British tourists? Do you eat meat? Why? Because you LIKE it; there is no other reason.

�Well,� you might think, �At least I am not killing for pleasure.�

Of course you are � you are paying someone else to kill something for the pleasure of tasting meat. Why do people think hunters are less morally superior than others?

By the way, you are not allowed to kill baby seals on the hunt in question � they have to be adults.

Hey, I am all for animal rights. As soon as they are granted the same rights as humans, I will be the first to file a class action lawsuit on the part of all salmon consumed by seals. Being eaten alive is barbaric, don�t you think?

We hunt seal in Iceland as well, they make good eating.
