Has anyone ever hunted in Estonia? If so how hard is it to get a gun license, and a game license. Is there a site in English that has the rules and regulations? Thanks.

www.diana.dk click on the British, or American flag to translate to our mother tongue. They have moose, lynx, roe deer, wildboar, racoon dogs, beaver, fox, and maybe some wolves. They hunt all those species. September is a good month for roe and moose, wildboar, fox and racoon dogs are better with snow on the ground.

http://web.ejs.ee/en/hunting-tourism.html http://www.rmk.ee/pages.php3/0213 Most foreign visitors choose to hunt with the RMK (state forest management service), as it is usually easiest if you don't have any prior contacts. The state owns roughly 40% or more of the countries forests nd the RMK manages nearly 0,9 million hectares of it, they usually hold some of the best hunting areas, they have expert guides and pretty decent accommodation. They offer complete packages, unlike private hunting clubs which usually expect you to arrange accommodation etc yourself. Another option is to use some travel operator overseas. In that case, you should expect to pay more. The first thing you should do is e-mail one or both of the aforemeantioned organisations. The EJS represents almost all of the private clubs and the RMK represents the state. Best of luck and I hope you enjoy your hunting adventure if you come here! If you are very interested (and lots of free time in your hands), here are some translations of the main acts regulating the hunting.

I have a contact that said I was more then welcome to and hunt with him. It is actually a family member of a friend I met in Australia. I don't think it will be going any time soon but hopefully in the next 5 years. Top game would be roe deer, but moose/elk would be a close second.
