Another roe buck season fades into memory. A great rut for me:-

This chap was shot after I decided to go stalking instead of going to the Gamefair. Now 3 months on the full skull weighs 650g. Shot standing off sticks at 150yds at 4.45am. The trophy really belongs to the dog who alerted me to the fact that he had broken cover behind me!

The other trophy I will remember fondly is this atypical 8 pointer that I had to run 300m to get into position for with about 2 seconds to spare. He was completely blind in one eye.

Great bucks! What caliber do you use for roe?
Did you shoot these monsters over the rut or just recently?
