Been a couple of weeks since I poked my nose in on the Euro forum.

When I stated that it would be a blast to hunt Whitetails in Finland, I was referring to coming over from North America.

I sure wish the world was not so political, and expensive with all the governmental fees. It would be great to be able to invite some of our European brethern over to No America to be able to hunt with them on our soil, and then the following season to be able to go and hunt with them in Europe.

I'd love to see politics thrown aside, and we hunters and shooters, can just be fellow hunter and shooters and leave it all at that.

Any one on this forum that would be able to get to the USA and Oregon, I'd be more than happy to have them as my guest to go out and Elk hunt. The deer would not be worth the trip, :LoL. We have to be able to get you a license but that should not be hard, and actually would be fairly cheap compared to prices I have heard of else where for other animals.

Gentlemen, a week ago I was lucky to meet a guy who was able to arrange me a whitetail hunt for the coming season here in Finland. It'll take place on a hunting club's area in south-western Finland. I've never been on a whitetail hunt before, but it looks like this is the year for me to try my luck. The hunt will take place in November-December, and the arrangement is like this: I pay them them for the whitetail license and am allowed to go hunt most likely whenever I want and the license allows me to shoot either one full-grown whitetail or two calves. The hunt will most probably be a hunt from a blind, which will be heated in the wintertime. After the hunt it's my job to take care of skinning and meat-cutting etc. The meat and the hide are included in the price, which I find very reasonable.

The reason I tell so precisely about this hunt, is that they also take foreign hunters for whitetail hunts and they already have some german hunters visiting their area every year. If I find this hunt and arrangements recommendable, I could pass some contact information to you fellow hunters at this board. Be patient, though

They should put up a board for those who want to trade hunts. The amount of traffic this site gets would make it huge...but they might kill you if you take a THS!
