Could put this out to a wider forum, but thought I would ask here first.....

Anybody advice on what kind of format is best if buying a video camera at christmas, there are loads of different storage devices, tape dvd, digital etc

Anybody got such a recorder or can offer advice? Mainly for family footage but also some shooting/hunting footage.

I have a Sony DVD camera,great footage,very sahrp picture,but when its comes to editing,what a pig of a thing,i'm really pissed off with the editing side of things.

I would get a DVD camera but not a sony.
