Hi all,

just a quick one.

I have got to the point where my 260 is ready to go. I have everything I could possible need except one problem.

I've managed to end up with the bottom metal but no spring, follower and magazine box. It's a short action and I can't find one anywhere here or in the states.

Does anyone have one new or second hand that I can buy? or know of where I might get one?

Thanks,
K

Kiri,

In your haste to get this communication out (I'd be in a Dither myself) I think you've forgotten to tell us for which action you require a Follower, Spring & Magazine Box?

Big Grin

Cheers,

Hi Gerry,

Sorry about that!! I was sat here , (far too early) with Amir getting ready to go to the shoot so I forgot the details!!

It is a lawton 7000 action based on the Rem 700.

Try

www.midwayuk.com/ they have the spring and follower in stock.

But the Remington importers are Edgar Brothers, www.edgar-brothers.co.uk/ to date they have been excellent for any spares needed - but you will need to go via a RFD.

Hiya,

I've been talked out of the 220 Swift. The point being that a 6mm fits my needs far better than a 22 CF. I'm looking at either a straight 243, or a 6x47Lapua. it will likely be a swap on my ticket for my current 243.

Either way the project isn't imminent as I want to get the 260Rem up and running and see how versatile it is for the jobs I want it to do.

I also don't fancy going through this whole process again in any great hurry!!

Rgds,

Nothing yet. I have some pics of the stocks but they have not been uploaded yet. I think the Magazine assembly should arrive soon as the smith has ordered three sets from different people to make sure we get one quickly!!

I'l be sure to post some when I get the gun in my hands!!
