Yes!I put a Douglas barrel on one about 6 years ago. A friend got Border to do his 2-3 years ago. Why do you ask?

I have a couple of them, and they are good shooters, just not in calibers I really want. Need a 280, and another 358 Norma. H5, how do they shoot? What stock did you use after rebarrel? McMillan has some stocks for these rifles. Probably get's to be a lot of money involved in a Tikka, but they are underated rifles anyway.

They shoot really great. Well they are Tikka 695's after all! Stock wise. I got a mate to carve me one out of some tiger stripe maple he had lying around his shop for the last 20 years. My friend bolted his to a fibreglass stock but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a McCrappy offering. I could ask him for you, but it will be a while before I see him. He's in some shit hole of a sand bagged bunker in Afghanistan at the moment.

I have had a Tikka 595 rebarrelled by Norman Clark of Rugby. It was a .22/250 deluxe but changed to .308 with no 4 profile cut rifle border barrel with heavy recoil lug rather than the crappy Tikka recoil lug. Kept the wood stock and had it pillar bedded. The gun is a shooter and last week put 3 rounds in .3 in centre to centre. Hope this helps SR

Nice! Sounds like a winner! Do you know how the maker of the recoil lug was?

I think Clark makes his own.

If I can find another short action one it would make a neat 6mm BR or 250 Savage.
