Searcy Memorial Rifle Raffle now on. Just in case you haven’t noticed, details of the Silver-Lining Scholarship rifle raffle have now been posted on the Gunsmithing Forum - Silver-Lining Scholarship Rifle thread. This is something I’ve been waiting for and following closely for the past 20 months. The drawing is on Jan 29th. I didn’t want to miss out so I’m already in for 4 tickets. Season’s Greetings, - stu

P.S. If it's easier to send payment to the US by credit card, send me a PM and I'll give you the details. The ususual disclaimer. I have no interest in this project other than thinking it's a worthy cause worth supporting. And with a beautiful rifle and knife set as first prize, it makes it pretty easy to support! cheers, - stu

Stu, I have not followed the thread about the rifle. Is this a small ring Mauser?? I see the caliber is 7x57. NICE looking rifle! - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... It entices its bearer into primeval forests, into mountains and deserts untenanted by man. - Horace Kephart

Yes Mike, built on a G33/40. If you haven't been following the thread, you should at least scroll through the pages to check out the work-in-progress photos. E.G. Action as finished by Tom Burgess before heading off to be barrelled

I sent off a check to Forrest today. It is a wonderful idea to create a scholarship through a raffle and a lot of generous people have contributed to the project. Like Forrest, I would be happy to see an AR member win the raffle. Get in touch with Forrest quickly! _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
