When is the best time to hunt cull deer, does/hinds in the UK? Also is't there rabbit/hare hunting/pest control with rimfires? I would like to spend a couple of weeks and leisurely hunt.Any info on this kind of hunting would be appreciated. thanks, capt david

"It's not how hard you hit 'em, it's where you hit 'em." The 30-06 will, with the right bullet, successfully take any game animal in North America up to 300yds. Get closer!

The short answer to this is Right Now!

Mid January through to late February. The ground cover is at it lowest after the winter and you cab see the deer moving around much more easily than the Autumn.

There should be no problem getting a week's sport, shooting rabbits with 22's at night with a light is great crack.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....
