Ive seen various adds on the press regarding a new Meopta 3100 1-4x22 mm rifle scope with illuminated reticle K-dot, red point with three short side bars. I can only get this scope by mail order, so I cant really see it before buying, does anyone owns or as seen one of this scopes. How do you feel about this reticle? I would also like to hear your personal experiences with the various Meopta rifle scopes, optical quality, durability etc. Also posted on the Optics forum. Link to Meopta rifle scopes

I happen to like Meopta having had good experiences with a 7x50. I also have had terrible experience mail ordering scopes that I have not looked through (a Nickel 4-16x50) and indeed buying scopes which I have not properly tested (Swaro 6-24x50) To mail order without viewing is to take a huge risk, one that is not worth it IMHO especialy in the case of trying to save money by buying something that would generaly be thought of as not first class. The 7x50 I had could have held it's head high in the company of Swaro and had better optics (from memory) than the S&B 8x56 that I tested recently. Such things however are a bonus and cannot be relied on without testing.
