Does anyone have experience with RWS Ammo? I have some of the 162 gr ID Classic in .280 Rem. This is very Accurate in my rifle. I'm thinking of using it for plains game in africa and wonder how it would perform on the larger antelope species? Confused

ID Classic (or TIG) is set up to loose its front core and have the rear core expand quite a bit. It is primarily a bullet intended for quick expansion - often used on lighter game.

Will it work for you on heavier game? Probably - in particular since velocities of a 162 grs out of a .280 Rem will not be extreme. But it won't match a Nosler Partition, say, for penetration.
