| I think the scan you can keep your finger on the button and move it around and it will range as you go, were as the CRF you have to press the button every time you want to range something.As far as im aware everything else is the same. Dave |

| CRF is smaller, waterproof, battery lasts twice as long(2000 ranges ish) and it costs more. |

| Depends on how much you want to spend? I use a nikon and its superb, CANNOT fault it in any way and i got a screaming deal on it (was miss priced) |
