How to kill a fox

Watched the aforementioned programme on C4 over the weekend presented by Germaine Greer
Expected to see the usual sentimental drivel but the programme surprised me
Miss Greer presented a factual half hour showing the ins and outs of what will happen when fox hunting is banned and asked why the public did not show the same sentiments about our intensive farmed animals as they seem to offer the fox
Not sure about the city pest controller who claimed to relocate some of the foxes that he trapped though (I thought this was illegal)
Couldn`t see the BBC giving such an un-biased approach so well done C4 and Germaine Greer

Thanks

Tim

Mad Tim,

shame Don't ever, eve., ev.., e.... underestimate the power of their hidden agenda, (drivel), regardless of how factual it may appear from Animal Activists, in whatever media format it appears - there is always a subliminal hidden agenda.....mostly to get the uninformed, uninitiated and unknowing to formulate an opinion on a topic they actually know & care very little about. If these twits had it their way, and (there's only a handful of actual HARD CORE activists) you'd be eating Soy Beans for the remainder of your days.

I've had to deal with these whackos professionally for the past 15 years....their logic doesn't hold water. Never give them an inch, 'cause they'll bite your arm off up to your shoulder. Issues you currently face & cope with in the UK, the right to pursue rational gun ownership, country living and sport in the UK is a direct result of the media hysteria of the uninformed buying this so-called unbiased and sentimental hogwash.

Normally I'm a hell of a nice guy but I don't buy anything they've got to sell.

Oh, yah, ask me if I've got an opinion?

gunsmile

Gerry

I don`t think the programme was produced or come to that presented with a cynical animal rights agenda. In fact the outcome of the programme was if anything pro hunting. Our government actually came in for some flack for spending more time debating foxes than sending our troops to Iraq
I am sick of watching blatant anti fieldsports propaganda (unfortunately supported our biggest media producer the BBC) that the programme came across as a change from the norm
I don`t disagree that the anti brigade will do anything to get their agenda implemented but fieldsports cannot afford to sit back and let the general public have a totally one sided view fed down their throats without and regress

Thanks

Tim

Cool Tim,

Thanks, sorry the outburst. You're correct that I DID NOT see the show on TV; so cannot comment on the content - apparently brass thief did and agrees with you.....

I am pretty cynical because there is actually very little balanced field sports media coverage and if this was positive, great thumb

Gerry

No offence taken.

After reading my original post I probably didn`t describe the programme correctly and should have put my post together a bit better

Pity you didn`t see it though.

Thanks

Tim

Obviously didn't see the programme but Germaine Greer is normally a total whack job and full of BS.

She once claimed she gets permission to land in Sydney from the traditional inhabitants (she uses the word "owners") before flying in.

Yeah, right. Razzer

She is an Australian whom thankfully prefers to infect the UK rather than Australia. Quite a few parasites have been passed off that way too.

I would suspect she has a hidden agenda (it could be just to get back in the spotlight as she is a 'has-been') and it could include animal rights in the farming industries.

I saw the programme, and thought there was some good and bad aspects to it....for one Ms greer pointed out the hypocrasy of people who dont hunt but eat meat..ie getting someone else to do the dirty work so it all comes neatly packaged in sellopane (sp) from the suppermarket.
However the theatrics of peeping through fingers over the face when the fox in the cage was going to get the OBE (one behind the ear) was crap....she stated she only ate game herself and was shown with some rabbits...which I presume she killed....the point being what difference does it make if the animal is killed humanely?
legislation and ignorance of the countryside will kill field sports sadly
btw I favour a HV rifle bullet for the task of fox control, but each to his own
Cheers Roebuck
