Over here it is sold as cheap crap ammo.

An error of memory. You have mistaken Remington for Prvi Partizan .

Ah Carcano, we missed you for a while. There have been quite a few questions on the Prvi Partizan products. If I'm not much mistaken, you have been quite positive about that in the past, yes (apart from jests about European vs. US loaded ammo)??

Was there not a discussion about Hornady getting some of their components (or was it ammo) from Prvi Partizan??

Carcano,

I agree with you on Remington. I posted about this on another thread. I recently bought a box of Remington Express Core-Lokt 8x57 170 grain Mauser ammunition for my new rifle and when I opened the box, the cartridges looked like they had been soaked in sea water for some months. Every single round was discoloured at some place on the case and one had some little gouges and dings on it. I have yet to see worse junk and for someone who bought this because of very good experience in the 1980s with Remington rimfire hunting ammunition, this has been a very sad thing.

I am going to order some 8x57 Sellier and Bellot from Cabelas and will try and find out about the Prvi Partizan ammunition which a close friend in Sweden has a lot of good words about.

I wonder if anyone has a website for Graf and Sons - I'll just try a Google search andhope to find them but if someone knows a URL, please post it here.

Thanks and Good hunting!

Hello;
I was surprised to see this post here. I've got a couple of boxes of 7.62x54 downstairs, imported by Century. The boxes say made in Yugoslavia and I thought they had disappeared with the country Interesting is that they are Boxer primed. Anybody out there translate the name ? Partizan is the same as our partisan, one would tend to assume.
