I have a opportunity to go to czech rep. for a hunt. Do you know if we need a transit paper for our guns if we go by car through germany?

I believe if your weapons are registered on a Euro Weapon Pass then that will suffice through Euro member countries. I have traveled through several Euro countries and that is all I had and that is my understanding.

What is the deal to bring weapon from US to Czech republic
What I read said you have to do application in person at their embassy.
Any other way? Hell, I live in Montana ( 2500 miles )
Rather out the way for app in person.

As you are an US citizen I guess that involves the Czech authorities and import permit like any other situation when bringing guns around the world. Pretty much the same if I was trevelling with guns to US, Canada or South Africa. Europeans that have the European Weapon Passport do not need to bother with this within Europe that are memebers in the EU or affiliated to EU through seperat agreements ( like Norway where I live )

For sweden you need a intake permit even if you have a EU gunpassport(from nordic countries you can do it online). Czech rep. iam told its fine with the EU gunpassport.

Skitjakt!

CZ is very easy to enter with a gun if you have the EU gun passport. But see to that you have some hours extra on the airport when you are leaving. It can be quite a procedur to leave CZ with a gun.

Congratulations on a great hunt. (now you have to show a few pictures from the trip) Wink

Can you recommend the place for spring hunt for Roebuck and perhaps the possibility of wild boar. ?

Then do not hesitate to send pm to me with contact information for the area in the Czech Republic.
