Guys,

It looks like AR 2013 will go ahead the same as last year. However we are looking to expand what we are doing for rifle shooters, and so I have a couple of leads on some drive hunts for this season that will be discounted as exploratory trips as I want to check them out. I think I have found a couple of hunts that should give all participants some shooting at sensible prices, so I thought here might be a good place to get a team together to test one or both out.

I'm off to Portugal for a week of chasing stags and catching up with Shakari and some cold beers!!! However while there we will be looking at the boar hunting opportunities and the partridge shooting.

The other option that has come up is a traditional drive hunt for 10-14 guns in Estonia. Price is coming in at £1350 full board with all transport food etc. No trophy fees on boar but other species are available for trophy fees including lynx, wolf, moose and red and roe deer. Expectation as for between 15-20 boar per day between the team. There is no additional guns from outside our party and no limit on the bag. For those that are really keen you can also spend the evening in one of the towers and shoot more pigs at night. I can get more info to anyone that's interested when I get back.

The trip will be four days with three nights accommodation. Two full days shooting.

Rgds,
K

Kiri, already committed to a boar trip this winter, flights etc are already booked.

Up for a repest trip to Ampton though...

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Hi mate,

That's a shame. I have just been looking at he trail cams here and it looks like we will be back in three weeks for an impromptu boar hunt here in Portugal.

The stags are something else too. We have shot three since Sunday afternoon with two twelve pointers and a broken off stag that still had 14 points.

Photos on their way.

I would be interested if I cannot make Africa for buffalo.

Sounds like a great deal and I would certainly like to make new friends on AR.
