I plan to hunt the UK this October. I have a sponsor that is getting all of the necessary paperwork for my rifle (Merkel K3).

Can anyone recommend an airline from the US to Birmingham? American Airlines will not transport firearms to the UK. I just got off the phone with United and they claim no problem if I have my papaerwork from my sponsor in the UK. I can fly their Ft Lauderdale - Newark - Birmingham route. Any other suggestions?

Personally I would fly miami Heathrow and drive to brum. Much less hassle and virgin atlantic will carry guns for you.

^ This makes sense - especially as Heathrow is ramping up its firearms handling capacity due to the up-coming Olympic games....... Smiler
