Will try to post a picture of my new Ruger No 1 in 270 Win. This will be my main rifle for stalking roe and red deer, and shooting from stands and high seats. The scope is a S&B 8x56, reticle German # 4. My buddy IanF found it at his local gunshop i Devon, and knowing I was looking for such a scope, we made a deal in a second This rifle turned out to be a real shooter with Fedreal Fusion 150 gr, and I really look forward to test it out with different bullets and loadings. Fantastic rifle (dont forget the forend tensioner screw if you want the best accuracy) but not sure about the size of scope, looks to top heavy for me.IMO

Very nice - what height mounts have you used to mount the 8x56 so low?

The mounts are medium Ruger extension rings. The scope is set back as far as possible and bearly clears the rail with a couple of millimeters at the occular bell. I had the stock shortend 15 millimeters, and it fits me perfect. Bumscratcher. For any other kind of shooting I wold have taken another / smaller scope, but this rifle is for high seats and stands in dusk and dawn. Therefore such a big scope. Arild Iversen.

Thanks for the info Sika98K. Any adress for the Kepplinger ? My original trigger breaks at a clean 1,3 kilos, wich I´m very comfortable with. Good luck with the Trysil moose hunting . Arild Iversen.

Is the Kepplinger a set? I would really like to find a decent single stage trigger that breaks at 0.8kg/1.8lbs. I'm trying to build up the bit required before I given in....

1894, what rifle are you looking for a (single stage) trigger for?? A Ruger #1?? Kepplinger does make set triggers, but he may also make single stage ones?? - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... Mike - yes for a #1. Don't have one but would like to play at some point. I know from experience that I don't like set triggers.
