I have just acquired, in a job lot, a set of Steyr Quick Detachable Sight Mount Rings. On them are these numbers cast as raised letters on the front turn-off mount of 15.00.07.0007. And the rear turn-ff mount of 22.07.010 and 22.07.014 on the toggle that you pull back to release the mount from the rifle. They are gloss black and whilst I know they are turn-off mounts from a Steyr Mannlicher. I need to know if they are 1", 26mm or 30mm! And what models? Help!

Maybe you can contact Steyrarms. They list Steyr mounts on page 11 of their catalogue. http://www.steyrarms.com/filea...2008_MSRP_prices.pdf Determining the size should be easy. Just measure the rings with a good set of callipers. Proud DRSS member

I searched in the document for curiosity, but I did not find anything. Why don't you write directly to Steyr MANLICHER? bye Stefano Waidmannsheil

I have, and had a reply from Steyr USA. Their gunsmith is "out of town" but will address it when he returns.

I may be missing the point here but can't you just measure the ring diameters ? If you dont possess a vernier just remove one cap and sit it on a 1 inch scope tube, if it fits snug its inch, loose its 26mm. I have similar mounts on my Mannlicher Schnoenauer made by Apel mounting a Pecar 4 x 81 scope, front ring matches objective bell diameter, rear ring is 26mm. Hope this helps.
