Gents if ever you need a reason to thank Saeed for the provision of this site and the members for posting reasoned, generally polite and interesting informative posts and the good networking that goes on then look no further than the modern stalking site.
I have never come across such childish bickering, backbiting and general bad craic as is going on over there. It looks like there are some good reasonable people on the site but bad-uns are not being 'moderated'.
Poor guy that started it must be about off his onion by now.
Long live AR and all that sail in her!!

I think you will find that the above also applies here on AR too. Although it isn't a problem here on the Euro forum, it is elsewhere. Frowner

Zaitsev, I thought you had a near death experience with that title Big Grin..

You are correct about the Modern Stalking site. I was one of the first members, no.25. There were some decent guys there the first few months. One of the members has opened a new site "Passion for Stalking". This is being moderated and shows some promise for the future.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Yes 100% correct, I joined a while back and thought the site showed real promise but degenerated into playground name calling and bickering. Just goes to show how a few ( and it was literally 4 or 5 at most ) can mess it up for the majority. I was ashamed to see fellow stalkers behaving like this. I have emigrated to Passion for stalking and will be watching this for a while to see how it pans out.

We shooters are sometimes our own worse enemy. Anyone from Joe Public reading that rubbish would think that no-one was fit to be entrusted with a firearm, it only takes one bad example these days and the damage is done. Thankfully I haven't seen that here as Erik has said, but I do note that it goes off elsewhere on this site.

Here's to keeping this forum just as it is!

I was also a member at the inception of the Modern Stalking site, after a few "heated exchanges" with an individual who did not like my opinion on a subject, I tentatively asked the forum owners if they thought that there should be some form of moderation.

I was told no, the rest is history, which is a real shame as the site in principle had a very bright future. I feel that it is now in its death throes, which in no small way is down to a few individuals who insist on petty, antagonistic exchanges.

The sort of behaviour seen on MS would not be entertained on any of the other forums I am a member of and yes I am a moderator on the Passion for Stalking site (which has so far been a very pleasant and uneventful task)

I suppose there will always be those who resort to playground antics and have no control over whom they choose to insult - the problem being that in a sport / activity that is held in such low regard by the numerous anti organisations, this only feeds their percieved moral highground.

Off my soapbox now.

Amen Bruthas. I consider myself also lucky to be here, thanks to you all and Saeed for AR.

I find a lot of sites are geographically restrained, meaning they may know a lot (or at least think they do) about one country, one animal, etc, but they ain't got nothing over on this site worldwide, Waidmannsheil, Dom.
