The wife would like to tour Spain... I would like to hunt there naturally. Can anyone point me to an outfit that would combine a hunt for a silver medal Becite ibex(?) with some sightseeing and perhaps a bullfight? Thanks! Hello bwanamrm I can not believe that after your post nobody answered you. Spain is a wonderful Country; For explanation puorposes I will divide the country in 3. 1.- The North East. Beceite Ibex. The arrival point could be Barcelona. Your must see are: The Holy Family Church, Las Ramblas, La Boquería, The Guell Park, La Pedrera, Casa Bajou, etc. But bullfighting is banned now. Of course you can travel to Pamplona. The Outfitters? Francisco Rosich: www.hunttripspain.com Salvador Chias: www.salvadorchias.com/macho.html 2.- Central Spain- Gredos Ibex Point of entry: Madrid Points of interest: Bullfighting Ring "Las Ventas", "Del Prado" Museum, Gun Stores : "Armería Alvarez", "Armería Española", "Armería Diana Viaji". You can go to Toledo by train and to Segovia to "El Parador de Candido". Endeless option from Madrid. Outfitters Eduardo F. de Araoz: http://cazatur.com/principal.htm Felix Lalane: www.felixlalannehuntingeurope.com/ 3.- The South. Ronda Ibex and Sierra Nevada Ibex (or Almijara Ibex). Suggested Point of arrival: Sevilla Poinst of interest: Bullfight Ring: "La Maestranza", El Alcazar, Archivos de las Indias, well all the city is a museum. Close to Sevilla is Granada, maybe the most Arabesque city of Spain. There you will find "The Alambra". Ronda has the oldest Bullfight Ring and a Hunting Museum, but go to the Arabs Bath and of course the New Bridge over The Tajo. Any Taxi driver over there will say you why the Spanish words: "Coño que profundo es esto". It is a joke. Marbella. Well I do not know Marbella but maybe next time. Any of the Oufitters, and of course many other like Alejo Sopeña: http://www.huntingservices.net/english/index.htm could arrange a hunt- tour combination trip. As on any other hunt, learn a few spanish words, be gentle and respectfully with people and..... be careful, you can fall in love with Spain. Regards[/QUOTE] | |||
