I'm posting here as Europeans maybe able to help me.

The bottom Pecar scope is a 4x36 with post and rail reticle in a 26mm tube.

What is it's history ? Where does it fit. I thought it might be a rimfire scope ?

Many years ago, let's say in the 80's, many Pecar scopes were sold to the US Forces in Rod and Gun Clubs. I've had them in my hands but never bought any or used any. I'm going from memory here, but believe they were made in W. Berlin. I do not believe they are in business any more, as I never see new ones and only occassionally a question on older models. Those in your pic appear to even be older than the 1980's, I would also think the bottom one is for a 22 rimfire or luftgewehr, but also would not be surprised if at one time it was on an old Suhler drilling in einhaakmontage (claw mounts). Sorry not much help but that's about all I know about Pecar, Waidmannsheil, Dom.

PECAR stopped business in 2007.
But there are a lot used Pecar scopes on the market.

Well I can answer my own question now.

From other sources I have found it is a Pecar Jnr, for rimfires. There were two models. A 3x36 and a less common 4x36.

I have a Pecar variable on one of my rifles and an excellent scope it is too. I liked the fact that even a ham fisted butcher of all things mechanical like me could swap the reticles around without the need to send the scope back to the manufacturer.

Does anyone know what was the cause of Pecars demise?
