Yesterday a fried found a bag with old rifle cartridges. Now I try to find some informations. Its a rimmed cartridge in 8,3mm (.325) Its stamped 1938, VIII and an imperial eagle with swastika. brass length 56 mm Cartridge total lenth 77 mm Do you have an idea? | ||

It sounds like a 8x57 IRS, also called 7,92 Mauser. But I´m far from sertain. The measures though, seem to fit rather good to what is written i one of my reloading manuals. Arild Iversen. | |||

Possibly a 8x56 Solothurn\Hungarian Mannlicher. Does it have a long and mild shoulder? | |||
