Picture of Fallow Buck
posted
Hi all,

Just thought I would post a picture of the oddball stag we shot in Norfolk last week.

It was an education in stalking, given that on the first three days we could have shot three different stags within bow range, but had to pass up because of the camera being in the wrong place or not enough light!! In the end we got what we think is some great footage of a variety of sport and we shot the stag with 20 minutes left on the last day. He had a total of 13-points all in with a really gnarled up right hand side.

Either way it was an interesting experience which makes walking out into a field on your own and shooting a fallow pricket look like a sinch!!

Not to mention lots of fun hanging out and hearig about all the different hunts that are available out there in the world.

Interesting stag, Kiri!
Any idea why this buck put up an antler like this?

Congrats on a great result, btw! Smiler

He does dress to the left a bit doesn't he?
That probably accounts for the malform.
