There are people who buy christmas cards on boxing day ... well I think I am becoming one of them so dont moan.

Looking at cutting the weight of my hunting gear

Does anybody have experience with NANOK SF reversible jacket and trousers ?

Is it warm and relatively quiet

Did you regret your purhcase and what is the down side if use for hunting ?

Where did you get yours from

thanks

Bought the jacket a while back from the Ray Mears site, which is why i think it's popular. Overall a letdown and definately not worth the money.

Not hard wearing at all and not particularly useful in this clime. It is very hot though so you'll only use when very cold.

I wish i had the chance to inspect it before buying through the web. If i had the oppertunity to buy again, i'd get the norwegian field jacket.

But its only 65 pounds and it is very warm and waterproof ?

When you say tough do you mean one can easily tear through the material ?

Just curious

Nope, not waterproof. They claim that it is 'shower proof.' What they really mean is that it will piss in.

Mine's has a broken zip, torn inner pocket and torn sleeve. It's not hard wearing at all. I haven't used it much at all.

Don't buy one unless you want to waste your money.

Just returning from moose hunting in Canada average temperature hovers around -20c ish

I can say the Nanok outfit is definitely worths its money.

Walk and stalked most of the time for £60 a throw I will order another one so I don't have to pack it.

I don't think I will survive that kind of temperature with my usual European gear which cost 6 x more ..........
