Hi, being a swede i believe hunting in Sweden offers more variety.. Nevertheless, Norway is a great country to hunt in. If you enjoy birdhunting I can recommend hunting ptarmigan over gun dogs in the mountain areas. As for big game I would go for moosehunting with dogs, which is a fantastic experience. Red deer, caribou and possibly bear hunting is also possible, but this can also be done in the States. I dont no of any outfitters but perhaps the norwegians here at the forum will.

Best Regards / Karl

There are no limit for you as a non-resident regarding what kind of species you are allowed to hunt. All you have to do is buy a license (which is appr. 50$). As long as you are allowed to hunt in the states that`s all you need.
Very limited with outfitters so you probably would need to arrange everything yourself. The best option would probably be to get in contact with norwegians who could help you, maybe like a swap hunt or something. I`m always ready for an offer! Smiler

Thanks for the info Anders.

I thought that I would probably need to know a few Norwegians before I could hunt over there as there really are not many outfitters.

I would really be interested in a swap hunt
