Well boys and girls I find myself unable to drive for 8 weeks and not able to shoot for at least 3 months.

I have had c-spine surgery removing the disc between c5 & c6 followed by the removal of some bone and having a cage fitted with 4 screws to join c5 to c6!

So if any of you have any good web sites or internet arcticles good hunting or reloading books or DVDs then please share them.

I have only been out of hospital for a week and already have cabin fever.

All the Hunters Video movies are great www.huntersvideo.com From Denmark.

The Blaser videos in English are of great quality but boring. Someone in the UK probably has them in English.

I am enjoying Modern Rifle Adventures seasons 1 and 2 are on DVD now. If your DVD player doesn't like American hunting dvds you can go to ebay and do a search for multi-system DVD player. I bought one for $30 and it cost $20 to ship it to me in Australia. I think they sent it from Dubai. Now I can watch every dvd in the world.

Australian hunting DVDs are kind of crap.

I am a bit of a varmint hunting fan, and there are tons of really good varmint hunting DVDs out there. I can try and come up with a list and send it to you if you like.

Simple,

1) Buy a copy of Clyde Bakers "Modern Gunsmithing" - or have a look at the Gunsmithing section on theis forum

2) Find an interesting gunstock blank and some carving chisels and a rasp.

3)Get your 22 rimfire CZ and build a proper full sized rifle stock for it. I did this when I was laid up for a while - I used a piece of cherry wood from tree that had been cut down in the garden - did nt cost me anything other than a bit of time.

That'll keep you amused for a while and give you all the gentle exercise that you need. Plus will last you a lifetime.

If you are ham fisted, just go slowly.

Take up arguing with randoms on the internet.

May I reccomend the Landover Baptist Church website as a good start.

I'm sadly banned from there at this precise moment of time but if you see Pastor Ezekiel Bathfire on there, tell him he's &*^% from me. Big Grin

Hope you feel better soon mate.

Well, it's a matter of getting your priorities straight.

I can go to Speaker's corner whnever I want to wind up a fanatical Muslim but unwitting baptists to harrass are as rare as rocking horse poo this side of the pond.

The site itself is a satire but it attracts sincere religious nutjobs in their droves. They can go for variable lengths of time before working out that they've been had.

I'm currently banned following the aftermath of an almighty row engendered by the question "What does The True Baptists Faith have to learn from Fundamentalist Islam about wife-beating?"

They had a proper sense of humour failure, they did... Eeker

as for the mere mention of "Beaver" ..........just the thought of the other kind puts spinal surgery recovery back at least 2 weeks.

No one has mentioned yuvutu.com you can look at videos of the commoners humping each other to oblivion. That should keep you going for at least a few minutes.

There's also youtube and I'd suggest searching under: best knockouts, street fights, police brutality, it's also a good spot to learn the mundane shit you've always wondered about. Definately and I mean this, search under Japanese pranks, those Japs are hilarious.

I first read it as Landrover Baptist church - so had a quick look expecting lots of geeks in Landrovers arguing about diff locks etc.

No its is full of complete and utter raving God Botherers of all denominations and faiths - we are doomed

But then looking at the rants on other forums about

the merits of 6.5x55

and

243 is too small even for mice

and

clients damaging carcasses as their shot was 3mm onto the shoulder

(tin helmets and sandbags at the ready) stir

the same could be said about other fanatics!!!!!

Sorry Arlid, I really should proof read my posts before hitting the button.

I meant I'd be sporting the moustache and of course grinning like three big-bottomed dancing girls had suddenly appeared from thin air.

The beaver would be dead, unfortunately.

Hey Pal, get well soon.

The 25-06 Rem. did very well for itself this season. Barnes 80 & 100 Gr. TTSX's with case full (to the middle of the neck) of H-4831sc is what mine likes; really well; 5 in 1 hole.
