Guys ive got some git who heeps stealing my pig bait devices, disturbing the area, dumping bags of bread to bait the pigs away, he/she is leaving scent vials in the vicinity of all my stands, i even suspect he is spraying something called "duft zaun" which is a spray that is very of putting for pigs/deer around the place.
ive reported the sod to the Forestry Commision and the Police. The Head Forrester said, yep, we had some as%$le cut 3 tyres on a 4x4 in the woods last week..
any ideas?

i'm thinking punji pits, calymores, trip wires, chainsaw massacres and the like.

Put your feelings aside (for now )
I suggest a gilliesuit and a videocamera with lowlight capability or an automatic "game cam".
Get footage of the perp. the car, licenseplate etc. and be sure to get pictures of the actuall offense being done!
Then you can put your feet up, pour a malt and let the system work for you and in the long run us, the hunting community as you come off as the good guy.

Gerry, after talking with a bunch of other guys who have stalking and or land in and around the same area, seems i've gotten of lucky, they have had highseats (Kanzel) set on fire, multiple tyres on several 4x4's slashed, antenna and wing mirrors broken off etc and other such niceties,
i'm currently thinking about a CS Pepper spray system that will vent around each wheel, just in case some git has it in for my BF Goodrich AT' TA's , those sods are expensive.

the general oppinion is that its a small group of anti's causing the bother.
I'm all for out whitting them, but if i catch one the m%$#@*&&er will be eating through a tube for a few months.
we will have top talk at length on this, the punji pits etc may still be an option !!

I caught a couple of flytippers in my woods the other day.

I was able to talk them into clearing up every last scrap of their own rubbish and a bit more too. Woods have never been cleaner. Sweet.

a friend of ours couldn't under stand why all the wheat out of his feeders was dissapearing overnight so he bought one of the wildlife cameras from cabelas for around $100, it takes about 40 photos,one every time it is activated, download to computer hey presto! culprit caught!
no antis in this scenario, but some clever fallow prickets that managed to take the lids off..

cheap and very efective, I think they have about a 50yds activation range. So if you get it to cover your 4x4 if anything untowards go on, hey presto! EVIDENCE...

If you do what you say above and the antis friend has a camera you will be caught. Not only did you break the law but by posting what you were going to do here you show that it was preplanned. You loose!
Also the papers will be full of articles about how people who kill animals are prone to violence against people as well and all hunting should be banned to protect the public. When we try to debate that they just point to you as proof. We loose!
You can only win by showing the world that they are the anarcist lawbreakers, not us!
As adviced on this thread, get a gamecam each, get pictures, turn the pictures over to the police or the local papers and turn people against the antis and not against you.
There are times when a riflebut to the head is the best solution but this is not one of them!

I have to say that I sympathise with your problem and accept that feelings run "high" in this matter.

However the best way to deal with this, "individual" is by stealth, obtain photographic / video evidence of his deeds - follow him to his vehicle / house and photograph that as well.

Don't challenge him, present your evidence to the local Police who should look into the case - criminal damage is criminal damage in most european countries, carries a prison sentance or heavy fine. you never know if the person is caught, he may be given "corrective" treatement by a "daddy" in prison -"pick up the soap boy"

By doing things this way, you do not run the risk of things back firing and the ANTIS having a press field day.

The other alternative involves a pit of quicklime, and a well placed shot - not necessarily in that order but it isn't for me and we do live in a civilised society don't we .
