Hi anyone recommend an outfit
Catering for crossbow hunting in Europe?
Thanks
Matt

I do not hunt in order to kill, but kill in order that I have hunted.

Matt

I don't know much about it but it is available here in Portugal & the man to ask is Kiri/Fallowbuck at www.athinasporting.com.

I'm seeing him this weekend so will mention it to him. Wink

My interest in crossbows has been rekindled since buying a pile of hunting magazines in Texas last week. Technology and materials have improved crossbows beyond all recognition, meaning that the power that they have always had in abundance is now coupled with excellent accuracy - 1" groups at 50+ yards are common with broadhead bolts.

I'm in the USA next week at the Great American Outdoors Show, so a compound bow and suitable scope purchase is on the cards - after which I'll be off to Portugal to crossbow hunt wild boar by moonlight. Judging by how close we were able to get last year, hunting Red hinds on foot with a crossbow should be perfectly doable in Portugal too.

Adam.

Just at the airport heading to Portugal for three days of duck partridges and some small local red wine... Wink

Definately an option for bow hunting.

I'm with Adam. I'm hoping to get myself a nice recurve to learn to shoot with in the next few months.
