On Friday 13th March, 2009, Omari Roberts returned home to find that 2 burglars had forced entry and were in the process of ransacking his mother’s home. During the ensuing confrontation, one of the burglars was injured and the other received a fatal wound.

We the undersigned petition The Prime Minister to clarify the law regarding reasonable force, when defending ones property from intruders and to place greater emphasis on the rights of occupants to protect themselves, their families and property.
Roberts is currently on bail charged with murder.
We urge the public to support Omari Roberts with The Safe as Houses campaign for the charges to be dropped.
